Let's not forget that the console could be limited compared to the PC data files, data corruption, engine restrictions etc. The game engine should use similar map files and model/texture data to the formats used by the PC game engine, but as stated by Eqagunn on wikia, the extraction process can be hard or non existent most probably because of proprietary archiving formats. The game should run fine on a modern system with a better resolution even.
you can emulate the ps2 version with the pcsx2 emulator. It seems that you only have 2 options, one realistically: quote from user Eqagunn from this wikia talk page I came to conclusion that only way to play that mission is to play it on the actual console, either PS2 or Xbox. I did quite extensive googling and, unfortunately, wasn't able to find a way to unpack those. As for PS2, it uses RDF format, and Xbox uses CACHEMAP format. In PC edition, maps are packed into PK3 format, which is actually renamed ZIP archive. Both of them can be easily converted to whatever format PC requires. PS2 edition uses PSS format, and Xbox edition uses BIK format. I tried doing it myself, but with no success. There are quite some user made missions available for download, but not this official one. The gameplay is fast and you must always work as a team in order to succeed.I was quite disappointed when I realized that there is no communitiy remake of this mission for PC. The best part of the game is that it still has a very large community constantly supplying it with custom made maps and modifications. Players with a higher skill level will have additional abilities or various advantages. Experience translates into experience points and the more points you earn the higher your skill level. Become an experienced soldierĮvery time you kill an opponent, or your team manages to accomplish its goals, you will get experience. Due to the fact that is only playable in multiplayer you will have to think a lot at your other teams members, develop strategies and different ways to surprise the enemy. The game can only be played in multiplayer mode: over the Internet with people from all over the world, or on LAN with your friends. Each class has different weapons and accessories so choose wisely. 
There are two sides you can choose from: the Allies and the Axis each of them featuring several classes: medic, engineer, etc. The uniform and all the weapons in the game are from that time period. The game's setting is that of the World War II.
The engine is the same as the one from the original game with some graphics modifications made due to the id Tech 3 engine. Return To Castle Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory is a first person shooter game originally planned as n expansion for Return To Castle Wolfenstein and turned into a standalone game.
